Governor Philip King Public School is located in Edensor Park, southwest of Sydney. The school community comprises a diverse range of cultures, emphasising tolerance and understanding as key values.
With a dedication to providing excellent recreational facilities for students, the school first reached out to Preferred Turf to improve two tired play spaces with synthetic turf, and since these initial projects, we have continued to deliver professional installation and support across several other areas of the school.
Our involvement with Governor Philip King Public School spans several years, beginning in 2017 when Preferred Turf was engaged to install synthetic turf over two large play areas during 2017 and 2018.
Totalling close to 2000m2, the play areas utilised our 35mm premium synthetic turf, a UV stabilised product that features 4 shades of green fibres for a soft and natural look. Made from eco-friendly recycled materials, the 35mm premium synthetic turf meets International Standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
The school principal and leadership staff were impressed with the quality and professionalism of our team, and invited Preferred Turf back in subsequent years for further projects in different areas of the school.
In the Christmas break of 2019 we designed and completed a 600m2 basketball court in 18mm multisports turf, transforming the hard concrete surface into a softer and more vibrant sports court for the students.
Multisports turf is available in a wide range of colours and can easily be designed with embedded line markings. Designed for sports and leisure activities, it is manufactured with a durable, medium-height pile that allows responsive bounce for ball sports like basketball.
Other projects completed at Governor Philip King Public School include revitalising a netball and handball court with a fresh coat of blue acrylic paint, installing 23mm recreational turf in a seating area under a gazebo, and creating a comfortable garden seating area with our 25mm deluxe turf.
The leadership team at the school led by Jason Corcoran (Principal) and Glenn Hamilton (Business Manager) have trusted Preferred Turf to deliver high-quality synthetic turf installation over the past five years. The school team reports that our professionalism and responsive customer service have been a differentiating factor in having our team return on multiple occasions.
We are pleased to continue our relationship with Governor Philip King Public School via a bi-annual synthetic turf maintenance program. The Preferred Turf team provides thorough maintenance twice yearly to help keep each of the surfaces we have installed looking and performing their best.
